Mental Health is the Focus of a New VPR Series

This week, VPR is airing a seven-part series on mental health care in Vermont. This series, entitled “They Are Us,” will offer a more personal conversation about mental health care in the state as people share their own stories and experiences in the mental health care system.

Highlights include a woman’s struggles with major depression, a parent’s journey with an adult child living with schizophrenia, and the challenges of integrating in the community while living with a mental illness.

The series began on Monday, November 12, at 5:44 pm on VPR and will continue this week. Tuesday’s episode, airing November 13 at 5:44 pm features NAMI Vermont volunteer Connie Stabler. To listen to Monday’s episode online and to find out times for upcoming episodes, please click the picture below:
