Join our Mental Health Awareness Month Project!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and NAMI Vermont would like to participate this year with an inspiring activity that can be done remotely! But, we need our NAMI Vermont community’s help!
Our goal is to visually raise awareness about mental health, about NAMI Vermont and about ways we have helped our community – especially recently.

Share with us a short video or photo that we can include in our month-long visual project to be shared on our social media platforms during May. Here are some ways to participate:

  • Film a 1-3 Minute Video – Use your cell phone or another device and share how NAMI Vermont has helped you.
  • Share a Photo – Send a picture of you holding a paper with your response to the prompt “How NAMI Vermont helped me…”
  • Create a Photo Collage – Create a collage with a mental health inspirational phrase. Take advantage of a Zoom meeting or have you and your loved ones each hold up a sign with one word from the phrase. We can help piece them together to create a collage.

Need an inspiring saying? Here’s some ideas:

Mental Health Matters
You are not alone
You are enough
Your illness does not define you. Your courage and strength does.
Strive for progress, not perfection.
Healing is not linear
We stand together for mental health
We support Mental Health Awareness Month
Self care is not selfish
You are loved

Please send any entries or questions to! We hope you’ll join us in standing together for Mental Health – remotely!
