What an inspiring event! On Saturday, October 9, 2021, around 150 people gathered in downtown Burlington for our NAMIWalks Your Way in-person walk, while dozens more walked in their local areas or participated in other activities in recognition of NAMIWalks Your Way Vermont!
It was a truly United Day of Hope! Everyone who participated remotely (like our amazing friends on the Craftsbury Team led by Team Captain Michelle Warren) and who walked together in Burlington joined thousands of other people across the country participating in their local NAMIWalks events. We raised our voices together for mental health for all.
There was such an outpouring of hope and support from our Vermont communities both in the enthusiasm seen at the walk and in the fundraising totals. In fact, we shattered the ceiling of the goal we had set! It’s currently at 127% of our goal with $37,956 raised to date. And this number is still changing daily!
But, Wait! We’re Not Done!
We’ve blown way past our original goal of $30,000! Can we make it to $40,000?We have time to find out! Our fundraising platform will stay open until November 11 for any additional donations to the walk!
All of the money raised stays in Vermont to help NAMI Vermont continue to provide free programs and support groups around the state to all Vermonters.
