The NAMI VT Advocacy Committee held a summer Retreat at the home of Ruth Kennedy Grant and Win Grant on July 27. Ten members of the Committee attended replete with food contributions and Chef Win barbecued something for everyone. The purpose of the Retreat was to decide what to include in the NAMI VT 2014 Advocacy Agenda. This document is a list of NAMI VT advocacy priorities including issues the Committee plans to actively work on during the coming year. Many concerns were considered and general priorities established. The Committee will continue with this effort at the August 28 meeting and Wendy Beinner, President\ CEO, will be writing a draft document. Board approval of the final product is required.
