Connection Support Group In-Person in Burlington

We are excited to announce that one of the NAMI Connection Support Groups will be returning to in-person meetings starting Thursday, October 10! The Greater Burlington Area Affiliate will host Connection meetings every Thursday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul (the Episcopal church). The cathedral is located at 2 Cherry Street in downtown Burlington. Meetings will take place in the Commons Room on the first floor of the building.

This will be the first of the Connection support groups to transition back to in-person. The other two groups will continue meeting via Zoom until further notice.

Two of our NAMI Family Support Groups have begun transitioning to an in-person or hybrid model. One group meets exclusively in-person every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at the NAMI Vermont Williston office. Another group meetings every 1st and 3rd Monday at our Williston office with the option to join via Zoom.

We hope to continue transitioning our programs back to in-person meetings while embracing the expanded reach that Zoom offers! One issue with the in-person model for support groups is making sure there are enough trained facilitators in the area. We are looking for additional facilitators to support the Connection Recovery Support Group program. If you are an individual who has lived experience with mental illness and are interested in facilitating a support group, please email [email protected], call (802) 876-7949, or click the button below to fill out a form demonstrating your interest. We look forward to hearing from you!
