Get Ready for Mental Health Advocacy Day on January 30!

Vermont State House

It’s almost time for Mental Health Advocacy Day! Come together with other mental health advocates to raise your voice in support of mental health. The theme of Advocacy Day 2023 is Mental Health Starts With YOUth. We want today’s youth to be the generation that replaces mental health stigma with mental health support.

This annual event is hosted by NAMI Vermont, Vermont Care Partners, and the Vermont Association for Mental Health Addiction and Recovery (VAMHAR). Anyone is welcome to attend—mental health advocates, peers, family members, professionals, providers, community members, and mental health stakeholders. The event will be held virtually this year.

You may choose to simply attend the event, or you can get actively involved by sharing your own story or a piece of artwork. There is also an opportunity to provide testimony to the State Legislature during the days following Mental Health Advocacy Day. Visit the event webpage to learn more about the different ways to get involved!

We are very excited to come together virtually for another Mental Health Advocacy Day. We hope to see you there!
