Mental Health Advocacy Day This Wednesday!

Join us for
Mental Health Advocacy Day

January 30, 2019
8:00 am – 2 pm
at the State House in Montpelier, VT

state houseDespite the weather forecast, we are still moving ahead with Mental Health Advocacy Day! If you are able to make it, we invite you to join NAMI Vermont, Vermont Care Partners, the Vermont Association for Mental Health and Addiction Recovery, as well as our 47 co-sponsors as we gather to call on Vermont leaders and legislators to protect and strengthen our state’s mental health care system.

Registration begins at 8 am in Room 11. There will be bagels and coffee available.

We invite you to bring your own lunch or check out one of the many local eateries in the area. We will break for lunch between 12 and 1 pm.

Wellness Workforce Coalition will be working on a video project during the day. There will be a sign up sheet available if you are interested in being recorded for this project.

There is adequate parking in the area, but we encourage you to carpool if you know of anyone else from your area planning on attending. If you are driving, there is off-street metered parking on most streets near the Statehouse with some free street parking further away. There is a Capitol Plaza metered parking lot nearby and a free parking lot at the Department of Labor on Green Mountain Drive (a shuttle runs from here every 20 minutes).

Full parking information, the agenda for the day, and other information is available on our Advocacy webpage.
