In Memoriam – Darlene Manning

It is with deep regret that we share the news that Darlene Manning passed away yesterday.

Darlene gave so much of herself to other people. NAMI Vermont was extremely fortunate to have her as one of our key volunteers for our programs. Darlene was actively involved as a Provider Education teacher and Connection Recovery Support Group facilitator in Rutland in the community and at Rutland Regional Medical Center on the psychiatric unit.

Her involvement with the Connection Support Group meant so much to her and she always looked forward to facilitating the meetings. She was an inspiration to so many people. Her resiliency and courage was so evident in how she always found a way to be at the support group meetings in spite of her medical challenges in the last year.unnamed

NAMI Vermont is so grateful for all her contributions. We celebrate her life and will remember Darlene as a wonderful, giving friend who brought inspiration and hope to so many people.
