What is the Mental Illness & Recovery Workshop?
Mental Illness & Recovery is a program developed by NAMI Vermont to provide education and information about mental health conditions and resources to any individual interested in learning more about mental illness and recovery. It is a free daylong workshop taught by two trained NAMI volunteers. We encourage any interested community member to attend, including but not limited to: healthcare providers, individuals with mental illness, and friends and family members of those with mental illness.
Attendees will learn general information about different mental health conditions and their treatments, as well as what it truly means to be in recovery. They will learn about treatment options available in Vermont and about NAMI Vermont’s free programs and support groups.
Light snacks will be available at the workshop. There will also be a lunch break (lunch not provided). Pre-registration is required and can be done online by clicking the button below. You may also sign up to join the waitlist for future workshops in the fall.
