Vibrant Discussions at November 9 Annual Member Meeting – RSVP TODAY!

Speak Up Be HeardThe Annual Meeting is fast approaching! On November 9th, the membership of NAMI Vermont will meet in Montpelier. The speaker this year is Paul Dupre, the Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Mental Health. The membership will vote on a slate of new board members and proposed changes in the bylaws. All members are invited to celebrate the heart of NAMI Vermont, the volunteers!

Most exciting, there will be a “World Café” to discuss several top priority questions for planning for the future of NAMI Vermont. The discussions will be held in round robin format, where each table will first talk about one question, and then people will move to another table to discuss another question. The results of these discussions will help NAMI Vermont’s leadership team shape future priorities and actions. Here are the World Café questions to ponder for November 9th:

  • What is the highest priority gap in NAMI Vermont’s current programming?

  • How can NAMI Vermont get a stigma stomping message to a broader audience?

  • What “low hanging fruit” can NAMI Vermont take advantage of in fundraising?

  • Are there any roles missing in NAMI Vermont’s staff and leadership team? If so, what are they?

  • How can NAMI Vermont better recruit, engage and retain volunteers in all of our communities?

  • What is the population NAMI Vermont hopes to have an impact on and what quality of life impact do we want to have on that population?

  • How should NAMI Vermont form an affiliation work group?

The Annual Meeting for NAMI Vermont will be held in the church at 64 State Street in Montpelier, from 10 am to 2 pm with lunch being served. Please RSVP to Chelsea Smiley at 1-800-639-6480 or email your RSVP to [email protected]. Don’t forget: there will be a prize raffle!
