About NAMI Vermont

About This Program

About NAMI Vermont is an interactive presentation that provides information about how NAMI Vermont is structured, ways you can get involved, and the different programs and services we offer to Vermonters – all with no charge.

A NAMI Vermont Ambassador with personal experience in the organization, whether as a program leader, Board member, or staff member, provides an overview of how NAMI Vermont operates. All NAMI Vermont Ambassadors also have lived experience with mental health conditions as an individual, a family member, and/or a mental healthcare provider. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about NAMI Vermont and how we can support them. The Ambassador will also give an overview of how audience members can get involved, in big ways and small, with NAMI Vermont’s ongoing work to help all Vermonters affected by mental health challenges build better lives.

This 30-45 minute presentation is offered free of charge and is suitable for diverse audiences, including individuals living with mental health conditions, their family members and friends, mental health professionals, businesses, other organizations, and the general public. About NAMI Vermont works well as a standalone presentation, or it can be paired with In Our Own Voice or Family Voices to provide insight from individuals living with mental health conditions or their family members.
