MIR Teacher Training

MIR-Teacher-Training

Are you passionate about mental health education and eager to make a difference in your community?

Join NAMI Vermont’s Mental Illness & Recovery Teacher Training. This training opportunity is designed for NAMI Vermont members who are passionate about mental health advocacy and education. The goal is to certify teachers and equip them with the skills to deliver the Mental Illness and Recovery Workshop across the state.

This program is more than just training. It’s an opportunity for learning, growth, and advocacy. As a participant, you will learn to teach the Mental Illness & Recovery curriculum at least twice a year on Saturdays. By committing to teaching this program, you will help spread awareness, reduce stigma, and support recovery efforts throughout Vermont.

The training session will teach participants about mental health in a clear and straightforward way, provide helpful insights, and explain how to find essential resources. The instructors are experienced volunteers with a background in mental health. They will lead each session and encourage a supportive environment for learning and skill development. When you become a certified teacher and distribute our program across Vermont, you are directly contributing to building a more compassionate and educated community surrounding Mental Health.
