Vermont is currently experiencing extreme effects of rainfall and flooding in early July. The flood recovery journey will be a long one, but Vermonters are already leaping into action to help each other. Natural disasters can cause emotional distress, which may be exacerbated for those already dealing with mental health conditions. Use the following resources to take care of your mental health in the wake of the floods.

SAMHSA Disaster Distress Helpline

This helpline was created to provide support to those experiencing emotional distress in the wake of natural and human-caused disasters and provide referrals to other resources as needed.
