About This Program
NAMI Provider is a 15-hour course or 4-hour seminar of in-service training taught by a team consisting of an adult with a mental health condition, a family member, and a mental health professional who is also a family member or has a mental health condition.
This evidence-based program is for healthcare organizations working directly with people affected by mental illness. The course equips healthcare staff with a deeper understanding of mental illness and the confidence to serve people and families collaboratively. It reflects a new knowledge base—the “lived experiences” of people coping with a mental illness or caring for someone who lives with a mental illness.
