NAMI Family-to-Family is a 12-week course especially designed for spouses, siblings, parents, children and close friends of individuals living with mental illness. The course is taught by a NAMI-trained individual who brings real experience and knowledge to the course, having supported a loved one of their own with mental illness. The lived experience of the instructor along with an evidence-based curriculum that fosters understanding and teaches effective methods for problem-solving and support, make Family-to-Family a truly valuable experience for anyone with a family member or close friend living with mental illness.

Coping with the worry, stress and emotional overload of mental illness can be a daunting task. The NAMI Family-to-Family class empowers family members to be mindful of their own well-being, while providing support for their loved ones, because often times self-care is sacrificed when helping others.

The course is 100% free to participants, and is offered as part of NAMI Vermont’s continued commitment to making mental health education accessible to all Vermonters.

The course in St. Johnsbury begins Thursday, September 10th, and the course in Berlin starts Tuesday, September 15th. To learn more about Family-to-Family and to register for an upcoming course, click here. Registration is required, so contact NAMI Vermont today!
