About This Program
For students navigating the stress and challenges of school life, NAMI knows that some of the best support a student can receive is from peers. When students connect with one another, they can share common experiences and support each other through the transitions. NAMI On Campus helps make those connections happen.
NAMI On Campus (NOC) clubs are student-led, student-run groups that meet regularly to discuss mental health topics and reduce the stigma that makes it difficult for students to reach out for help. At NAMI On Campus meetings, students can speak openly about mental health and wellness, learn ways to support friends or family members who live with a mental health condition, and have a chance to educate their campus about mental health and wellness.
The NAMI On Campus program is available for both high school and college campuses. Clubs hold creative meetings, innovative awareness events, and offer signature NAMI programs through partnerships with NAMI State Organizations and Affiliates across the nation. Club leaders will have access to NAMI’s online portal, where they will find many resources to help inspire and guide the club’s operations.
